We recently went out to cast a couple of rods and measured the distances. Here’s what we’ve found:

Conditions were perfect for distance casting with a light breeze from behind. Although this aided in casting distances the difference in distance between the rods could still be taken as a guideline of their capabilities no matter the wind speed or direction.
